Screen Sharing

La Suite Meet supports multiple simultaneous screen sharing streams — any participant can share their screen at any time, independently of other shares.

Starting screen share

  1. Click the Screen share button in the control bar, or press S
  2. Your browser will open a system dialog asking what to share:
  3. Entire screen — shares your full desktop
  4. Window — shares a single application window
  5. Browser tab — shares a specific tab (also shares the tab's audio)
  6. Select what you want to share and click Share

Your screen share will appear as a track in the meeting for all participants.

Sharing multiple screens

Meet allows multiple participants to share their screen at the same time. There is no "you must stop before I can start" limitation. All active screen shares are available in the layout.

Sharing audio alongside your screen

When sharing a browser tab, you can optionally include the tab's audio by checking Share tab audio in the browser dialog. This is useful for sharing videos, presentations with sound, or audio demos.

Audio sharing from windows or the entire screen is currently browser-dependent. Chrome on Windows supports system audio sharing; Firefox and Safari do not.

Stopping screen share

  • Click the Stop sharing button that appears in your browser's notification bar
  • Or click the Screen share button again in the Meet control bar

Viewing shared screens

Shared screens appear automatically in the meeting layout. To focus on a specific screen share:

  1. Hover over the screen share tile
  2. Click the Pin icon to pin it to the main view

Screen share and recording

When a meeting is recorded, all active screen shares are captured in the room composite recording. The recording shows the same layout that participants see.

Tips for better screen sharing

  • Close sensitive tabs/windows before sharing your entire screen
  • Use tab sharing when presenting from a browser — it isolates exactly what you want to show
  • Reduce screen resolution if participants on slow connections report choppy video
  • Hide notifications before sharing to avoid interruptions
