Joining a Meeting

There are two ways to join a La Suite Meet meeting: via a direct link or by entering a meeting code.

The most common way to join is through a link shared by the meeting organizer. The link looks like: https://your-meet-instance.example.com/<room-slug>

  1. Click the meeting link
  2. Allow camera and microphone access when prompted by your browser
  3. You land on the pre-join screen

By meeting code

If you received a meeting code instead of a link:

  1. Go to the home page
  2. Paste the full link or the meeting code into the input field
  3. Click Join meeting

A meeting code follows the format: abc-defg-hij

Pre-join screen

Before entering the room, you can configure your setup:

Display name — Enter your name. This is shown to other participants in the meeting.

Camera — Toggle your webcam on or off. A preview of your video feed appears so you can check your framing.

Microphone — Toggle your microphone on or off.

Backgrounds and effects — Click to configure a virtual background.

If your browser has not yet granted camera and microphone permissions, you will see a prompt asking you to authorize access.

When ready, click Join to enter the meeting room.

Restricted access (waiting room)

If the room is set to Restricted access, your screen shows a waiting state after you click Join.

The host or moderator is notified by a pop-up and can accept you immediately from the pop-up, or from the Lobby section in the Participants panel. You will enter the meeting as soon as they accept.
